A Verse for Meditation

Torah ScrollSet your minds on things above, not on earthly things.  Colossians 3:2

What reason does Paul give in Colossians 3:1 for setting our minds on things above? What would be an example of things above?

What other reason for thinking of things above does Paul give in Colossians 3:3?

Earthly things exist in the frame of reference established by time and space. What is the frame of reference for “things above?” In what way are we believers integrated into that frame of reference? (See 1 Corinthians 3:16)

If we who believe have both the life of the flesh and eternal life, then it can be said that we live at the intersection of time and eternity. How does that truth change our perspective on life? How does that truth help us set our minds on things above?
