Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
- What are you anxious about? Do you feel that you really can give that anxiety to Jesus?
- When Jesus was teaching his disciples, he constantly put them in full view of situation where there were two alternatives. They could succumb to fear and frustration, or they could trust that Christ is who he says he is. When you get to a place like that, are you able to trust Christ or do your fears overwhelm you?
- Peter stood at a place like that on the night Jesus was tried. What happened to him? Has it ever happened to you? What do you do about that?
- Given Peter’s behavior on the night of Jesus’ trial, how did he ever arrive at a place where he could confidently write these words? What experience in your own life sheds light on these words? Could you write this message to a friend with troubles?
